Personnel and Disciplinary Committee

The Personnel and Disciplinary Committee convenes only as required. Meetings of this Committee are not usually open to the public.

Aims of the Committee

To take responsibility for the process of Disciplinary and Grievance hearings as per policy and employment contract.

To review and update recruitment and selection policy.

 To take responsibility for recruiting and dismissing of staff

 To maintain, review and update job descriptions on an annual basis.

 To review staff requirements to put forward to the Full Council in time for the Precept Meeting.

To deal with all staff matters including progress reviews, contracts and grievances 

To carry out an annual appraisal of the Clerk and any other staff member

To report back to Full Council
