The Handyperson

Laura BrayLaura Bray has been our handyperson since April 2009. Laura is responsible for the War Memorial, Market Place, Cemetery, Enclosed Play Area, arranges many of the floral displays within the town and also carries out minor repairs to council property. In a voluntary capacity Laura does a great deal of work for the council on events such as the Christmas Festival and Gala. If you see her busily weeding around town please do stop and say hello!

Laura is hoping to develop her role further in the coming year through horticultural training and would ultimately love to complete a degree in horticulture.

Laura lives in Kirton, is mum to three boys and in her limited spare time enjoys live music and a variety of outdoor pursuits. Laura is also a talented silversmith and can often be found in her workshop. She personally crafted the solid silver key which was presented to the RAF Personnel from 1ACC at their Homecoming Parade in December 2009.

Laura is also our Cemetery Clerk.
