Cllr Tyzack is a semi - retired teacher, still doing odd supply work, and is also involved in the Graduate Teachers' Programme. Hailing from Derby, she moved to Kirton in Lindsey in 1983 and is now an officially adopted yellow belly!

Outside of work and the council she enjoys horse riding, though non- competitive these days becuase as she puts it  'I don't bounce quite as well as I used to!', walking, swimming and cryptic crosswords (she lists one of her ambitions as finishing the Aracuria Puzzle in The Guardian!) Cllr Tyzack is interested in local history and is the programme organiser for the Kirton in  Lindsey Society.
